Trinidad and Tobago - Oil and GasTrinidad and Tobago - Oil and Gas
Overview
TT has long history producing oil and gas and is a leading producer of petrochemicals such as ammonia, urea, and methanol. For the last five decades, TT’s oil and gas sector has been the country’s economic driving force. Declining local production and global energy prices caused TT to enter into a three-year recession in 2014, from which it has only recently emerged. As a result, the government has focused on reversing declines in gas production by incentivizing capital investment.Leading Sub-Sectors
