The requirements for imports include the following: bill of lading, commercial invoice, certificate of origin, custom import declaration, and health certification (for applicable food or agricultural commodities).

There are several registered agents who facilitate the importation of goods into The Gambia.  While businesses are not required to use their services, registered agents can be helpful in reducing common hassles at the port.
