In May 2012, Panama adopted ISO 26000 to guide businesses in the development of CSR platforms. In addition, business groups including the Association of Panamanian Business Executives (APEDE) and the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) are active in encouraging and rewarding good CSR practices.
