E-commerce is not well developed.  BiH citizens and businesspeople generally do not shop or conduct business on the Internet.  Many companies maintain websites, but ordering online through use of a credit card is very rare.  Internet penetration is estimated at 80.8 percent (source: Internet World Stats, 2018).  The financial sector leads the way with many commercial banks offering e-banking to their clients.
