Organizations such as the Network of Association for the Defense of Consumer Rights, (Rasconi Tsada Rayuwa (Réseau des Associations de Défense des Droits des Consommateurs), S.O.S.-Kandadji, ADDC Wadata, and the Collective for the Defense of Energy Rights CODDAE (Collectif pour la Défense du Droit á l’énergie), provide limited support for consumers.  Consumers in Niger are generally not accustomed to U.S.-style guarantees.  Many of their buying habits are based on a relationship of trust and experience with a particular vendor.
