There are currently no U.S. banks operating in Mauritania. Due to the global phenomenon of derisking, no Mauritanian banks currently have correspondent banking relationships with U.S. banks. Two international banks operating in Mauritania, Société Générale and Attijari, do maintain correspondent banking relationships with U.S. banks.
