The greater Asuncion area is Paraguay's principal advertising center, with over one-third of the total population.  Principal media for advertising are internet (particularly social media), television, and radio.  Other widely used media include newspapers, billboards, signs, and direct mail.  Radio is the most important media in rural areas.
