Due diligence is part of the array of services the U.S. Commercial Service provides for the benefit of U.S. businesses.  It is recommended that U.S. firms take advantage of the U.S. Commercial Service International Company Profile (ICP) service before signing an agency agreement with a local concern, choosing a local partner to bid jointly on a major project, or doing business for the first time with a local company.  ICPs are prepared at the request of U.S. firms and provide background data and information on Egyptian companies.  U.S. firms can request an ICP service through their local U.S. Export Assistance Center.
