Latvia’s security policy is based on active multilateral and bilateral cooperation and participation in the European Union and NATO.  Responsible action in the areas of arms control and non-proliferation is an important element of the Latvian foreign and security policy.

The U.S. government has created the Consolidated Screening List API (Application Programming Interfaces) to consolidate eleven export screening lists of the Departments of Commerce, State and the Treasury into a single data feed, as an aid to industry in conducting electronic screens of potential parties to regulated transactions.
