The government requires exporters to obtain formal export authorization (Demande Déscriptive d’Exportation – DDE) from a commercial bank and to present a certificate of Guinean origin to the Office of Foreign Commerce. According to the government, with the exception of some agricultural goods, gold, and diamonds, exports are not taxed.
