The Omani government welcomes foreign capital and expertise, particularly in the tourism, health care, higher education, fisheries, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors. Oman seeks foreign investment for the technical expertise it brings and the training it provides to Omanis. Under the U.S.-Oman Free Trade Agreement, U.S. investors qualify for national treatment in Oman. Joint ventures with GCC citizens also would qualify for national treatment.
