However, Mauritian consumers are starting to expect better quality and after-sales service. After-sales servicing and availability of spare parts are essential for successfully marketing certain goods, particularly machinery and equipment. Most importers/distributors of appliances and electronic goods have a workshop for servicing and selling parts. U.S. manufacturers should be prepared to train local staff to provide efficient servicing.
