Over the next few years, Lithuania is expected to continue to achieve solid economic growth.  Despite the global financial crisis of 2008, Lithuania demonstrated a remarkable  capacity to adjust.  Investment and domestic demand are expected to be increasingly important drivers of the economy.  Lithuania is in a good position to serve as a base for distribution for all three Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia) for agricultural? products from the United States. In 2015, Lithuania imported agricultural and fish products worth $4 billion with U.S.-sourced imports worth $75 million.  Products from the U.S. that have strong sales potential on the Lithuanian market include: fish and seafood products; nuts; wines and distilled spirits; and, highly processed and functional ingredients.
