U.S. Companies should perform appropriate due diligence on their business partners and agents. U.S. companies should be cautious in the areas of banking, insurance, investment firms, management companies, and payment institutions. They must be sure of their customers’ true identity and are obliged under the Finnish Act on Detecting and Preventing Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing to know their customers’ activities and background.
